At least 12.7 million people are blind due to corneal injury or disease. An additional 18 million are blind in one eye.
Most are young and impoverished and live in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). They do not have access to the human tissue transplants KeraLink International helped make universally available in the United States.
KeraLink International is the only organization bringing clinicians, technology innovators, healthcare providers, philanthropists, and investors into a coordinated, collaborative effort to eradicate corneal blindness in LMICs.
