A Pioneer in Global Eye Banking
When eye banking first started, locations were set up to meet the immediate needs in the local community. With advances in technology, we have been able to extend our reach so that we can help those who are blind across the globe.
The International Federation of Eye Banks (IFEB), KeraLink’s international arm, is the largest partnership of international eye banking in the world. It is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-politcal institution that helps organizations and governments develop eye banks. Since its founding in 1989, IFEB has helped establish more than 35 eye banks, and currently has 29 members in its network, ensuring that we can help share the gift of sight throughout the world.
Together, KeraLink International and IFEB offer comprehensive access to high-quality tissue and eye banking services, striving to reverse corneal blindness worldwide.

IFEB promotes world-class tissue safety by offering expertise and services through its membership benefit program, which is focused on tissue quality, operations support, training and education. It was the first organization of its kind to establish an international membership organization for eye banks, inspect and accredit members using a single comprehensive medical standard for all international eye banks, certify eye bank personnel, and create training centers with hands-on scientific and educational curricula.
To date, IFEB has helped over 100,000 recipients overcome blindness, and continues to strive to eradicate corneal blindness globally.
