Process for The Great Corneal Challenge Applicants
The Challenge aims to identify and support innovative and disruptive ideas to eradicate corneal blindness in low and middle-income countries (LMICs), and do so affordably and sustainably.
Individuals, entrepreneurs, researchers, startups, nonprofits, and established companies who have a United States tax identification number.
Once you submit your application, it will undergo a review process. You will hear back from us within three months.
Step 1: Complete the application form detailing your business or concept.
Step 2: Attach any relevant supporting documents, such as business plans, financials, research papers, patents, or media describing prototypes.
Step 3: Submit the application.
Step 4: You will hear from us within three months of your submission. We will review applications on a rolling basis.
Applications will be evaluated based on:
- Overall business plan including, but not limited to, idea, technology, product and/or service description and stage of development (40%)
- Relevance and affordability to low- and middle-income countries (30%)
- Risk and success potential (30%)
