Himalayan Cataract Project and KeraLink Collaboration

KeraLink is excited to announce a new partnership with Himalayan Cataract Project (HCP), a well-established eye care organization dedicated to focusing on training and empowering local personnel. Recently, HCP acquired SightLife International, strengthening their already established long-term partnership. This acquisition has allowed HCP to expand and concentrate more efforts at combating corneal disease.

Now, the partnership between KeraLink and HCP will bring together decades of experience, resources and networks aimed at eliminating corneal disease in LMIC’s. Our organizations have a shared commitment to eradicate corneal disease, and train more personnel in early detection, diagnosis and referrals to help combat patients with urgent need.  Together, our two leading organizations aim to create a more significant impact in the field of corneal health.

During our collaboration the KeraLink and HCP will have an opportunity to do the following:

  • Conduct training and education on identification of early corneal disease, diagnosis and referrals
  • Empower women and minority groups
  • Identify exceptional trainers and empower them as ‘master trainers’ to ensure a self-sustaining model of education
  • Identify and develop innovative technology and ideas to utilize in treating corneal disease
  • Communicate and exchange knowledge and experience of both organizations by disseminating intellectual outputs, such as research articles, analyses, and materials
  • Organize collaborative speaker forums, joint educational meetings, events, lectures or seminars.
