Restore Vision Where It Matters Most, Right at Home

KeraLink International’s Hometown Hero initiative empowers donors to make a direct, personal impact by restoring sight for someone in need right in their own hometown.

Together, we can make the world a better place. Every dollar brings us closer to our goal of ending avoidable blindness. Can you pitch in? Consider making a monthly gift to help us plan for the future.

GLASSES

$100

This effort builds on the success of our Gladwin, Michigan pilot, where children received glasses and experienced immediate improvements in confidence, engagement, and joy. These were more than clinical outcomes. They were life-changing experiences.

In communities like Gladwin:

  • Students are 30% more likely to rely on free or reduced lunch
  • Families earn nearly 40% less than the national median
  • Vision difficulties are 25% more common than average
  • Children like Teghan, who shouted, “I can see the little words in books!”, remind us that local need is urgent—and solvable

What’s Next

Hometown Heroes is now expanding regionally with donor-driven funding and peer-led events, creating a nationwide movement for local vision equity.
