Our work helps individuals regain independence, return to school or work, and participate fully in their communities. At the same time, we empower local providers with the tools and training needed to sustain care long after a program ends.
This dual impact, restoring sight while building systems, is what makes our work endure.
Ashena, a university student, shared how the glasses will help her in her studies. She spoke about the sacrifices her parents made and how important it is to her not to let them down. She was so excited and grateful that she asked for her photo to be taken again and again. Her prescription was -4.75 and -4.50 total power.
Yvonie Vilméus St Juste, age 74, shared how for many years she felt helpless and depended on others. She is deeply thankful for her glasses and said they have renewed her hope as she looks forward to a bright New Year. Her prescription was around -3.00 with a +2.75 add.
